What is Telegram?
Telegram is a free software / application that provides messaging service, end-to-end encrypted video calling, VoIP, file sharing, and other features. It was launched in 2013, and is available on iOS and Android.
Why should you move from WhatsApp to Telegram?
WhatsApp and Telegram offers the same type of service. However, Telegram is better because
It allows users to send any kind of file through their platform. WhatsApp limits video, images & document type files which could cause inconvenience to some users.
In addition, Telegram has a “revolutionary privacy policy”, a policy that promises to protect you from snooping and to not show you ads.
How can you move to Telegram while keeping all existing WhatsApp chats and files?
If you are thinking of switching from WhatsApp to Telegram, but you don’t want to lose your chats and files from WhatsApp, here’s how you can save them and access them on Telegram:
Step 1. Download and Install Telegram from the App Store of Google Play.
Step 2. Register for a Tele Messenger Account
Type in your mobile number. You will receive a verification code on the mobile number that you registered with. Type in the verification code, and proceed to the next step.
Step 3. Type in your name.
You can also upload your photo, if you wish.
Step 4. You now have a Tele Messenger account!
Step 5. Export your WhatsApp chat to Telegram
Open your WhatsApp, and choose the chat that you wish to export to Telegram. Tap on the three dots icon at the top right corner, then tap more, tap export chat.
You will be asked if you would want to include the media in the chat. Choose which option you prefer.
When prompted to which app you would like to export the app, choose Tele Messenger.
Your Tele Messenger App will open. Choose to which chat you would like to save the WhatsApp chat. Your chat will now be exported to the chosen Tele Messenger Chat.
You now have your WhatsApp chat in Tele Messenger!
